MIDDLE SCHOOL LTR

Open to students entering 6th-9th grade who are interested in learning to row.  Young athletes are provided with a comprehensive introduction to the sport through active participation.  Three 2-week sessions are offered in the summer.  You may take one, or all. Practice is Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8:15-10:15 AM.

HIGH SCHOOL/ADULT LTR

Open to adults and high school students who are interested in learning to row.  Athletes are provided with a comprehensive introduction to the sport through active participation.  Three 2-week sessions are offered in the summer. You may take one or all. Practice is Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 6:00-8:00PM. See registration tabs for signup.

USRowing National Learn-to-Row Day

On the first Saturday in June, as part of an annual nation-wide program, the boathouse is open to any and all who have ever thought they would like to see what the sport of rowing is all about…and to get an opportunity to see the equipment and learn the rowing stroke!  After that you will want to sign-up for a LTR program above; you will be hooked!

ADULT MASTERS POST-LTR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

(Late Summer program available)

This program is for adult (masters) athletes who have completed the Learn to Row program (minimum of at least 2 LTR sessions is recommended) to further develop their skills in a fun team-based setting to prepare for rowing as full members. The program will focus on sculling and sweep in team boats and singles. Sessions are twice weekly (Thursdays 600-730PM and Saturdays 900-1030AM). The late summer program will run for 8 weeks (16 sessions) from late July to the third week in September and is open to rowers who completed LTR sessions in the current calendar year.

Coaching the Post LTR Program

There is also an opportunity masters rowers to coach this program. Coaching will often hone your own skills as well.
